Maybe you saw it, Maybe you didn't
Perhaps you were among the lucky few who saw a post I wrote last night before deleting it about 20min later. What it included was an announcement to independently study art history, starting with two "beginner books" called Art Speak and Art Spoke. Art history is important to know so that we may be able to recognize modern-day influences.
Then the post meandered into my sheer hatred of contemporary art. The reason I deleted the post was 1. PBR, and 2. because I thought it was ohh. .. "harsh."
After reading on post-modernism, minimalism, conceptual art, and other various forms of 19th century art today for about 2 hours I have come to the conclusion that I HATE them all even more than I did 24 hours ago. What I have discovered in fact is that my art has an "influence" all though not purposefully, by romanticism.
This is apparent to my belief of man returning to nature, to act impulsively, and that art is a deep emotional experience versus "ideas" and coming to grips with the industrial and electronic age.
I hate people who think art and their personality aren't related.
