I'm still here

Yes it's true. I have not forgot about this thing. I just dont prefer to write it in much because it's thereputic results have fallen to the wayside. A lot has been happening lately. I am going to ETSU next Fall to persue a BFA with several other friends of mine. I'm somewhat excited about the location of ETSU and actually LIVING away from everything I know, then again, I'm not so stoked. I came across a sweet deal too good to pass up and I bought a new camera instead of text books and bilo had a special on Diet Coke so I bought 48 of them for $10. I still smoke my tobacco pipe regularly, I still still drink regularly, I stay out late at night, and I swear constantly.

The past few weeks have been interesting for me on a personal level with all these new changes and discoveries. I've been reading a lot on art related topics and studying tons of painters and photographers as a self-study type thing. The past month I've been studying color theory in preperation for color photography. And yes, believe it or not I like modern art now. WAIT, not all of it. I especially enjoy the color-field painters. A wacky idea I'm playing with to a new form of "color photography" led me into Mark Rothko and well, it took off from there. Color field paintings really are something amazing. I even checked a book out called "beginning postmodernism" as a suppliment. Sometimes I think the only reason I go to college is to be the library whore. 'gotta love the library! I have another project/ series I'm working on in B&W concerning consumer culture that has gained some popularity so I'm hoping that will take off soon as well

Look for a review of the group exhibit I'm currently in, in tomorrow's Pulse. I picked up the book I was published in today - pretty neat, and sent in my shit for the exhibit at the Harris Gallery in November. Bling.

PRAISE GOD UT FOOTBALL STARTS THIS SATURDAY AT 12:30!!!!!!!!!!!

And for the record, I still hate people.
